(Feb. 1, 2016)Mobee, the leader in real-time crowdsourced insights for brands, retailers and asset management firms, today announced the hiring of Mike Grimes as chief revenue officer (CRO). Grimes will lead Mobee’s go-to-market strategy, sales and business development efforts. Grimes brings more than 25 years of proven success in building and growing digital solutions for retail-centric organizations to his new role.

Most recently, Grimes led Catalina’s expansion into digital promotions as SVP of digital retail solutions. Prior to joining Catalina, Grimes served as CEO of Modiv Media, a mobile shopper marketing solutions company that was acquired by Catalina in 2012. Grimes has been active in real-time proximity and wireless mobility solutions for the retail supply chain since the dawn of the cell phone.

Mobee plans to expand its staff by over 50 percent this year as part of an aggressive plan to grow its Boston headquarters and influence in the national retail market. In 2015, Mobee closed a $7.3M Series A funding round and projects its growth in 2016 to be in excess of 400 percent.
